The people communicating here have become an online intellectual community and should be allowed to ask for the rights that are due to any people, along the lines of Lincoln's "government of the people, by the people, for the people. Here at Yahoo Answers we volunteer our intellectual content without any kind of consent to the rules governing this forum (or is there such consent?) We may compose the most original ideas but at the end of the day still read at the end of the page: "Copyright © 2006 Yahoo! Inc. All Rights Reserved" declaring clearly that our ideas do not belong to us. Is this the Orwellian "thought police" slowly and surreptitiously making its way into our lives or making us get used to it in this harmless and fun seeming way?

I call for a revolution against this system or let us start a new question-answer forum the content of which does not belong to a global corporation but to the people using it.

basis for the first proffesional opinion. Hence if both opinions are the same, then you have found the right answer. On the other hand if they disagree you go with the opinion you're more comfortable with if true. Is this correct?

It is interesting that we do not consider theological and philosophical questions and reasons for the way in which we worship God. Perhaps if we venture into the realm of doubt and questions we will discover something in God greater to worship.

The latest murderer is out there somewhere on a killing spree - they probably aren't too bothered about being caught as they are expecting quality treatment in prison.

I say inject any convicted murder with a deadly disease and if a cure occurs then at least we will know that the cure has worked on humans.

How can I do anything in life, when all I going to do is die?

When am I supposed to die?

Why do I have to die?

What is the point of being alive?

I know that it ran along the lines of a 'perfect circle' that we judge every circle against in order to decide it is indeed a circle. But that the perfect circle doesn't acutally exist-it just like a concept of something that we comparing other stuff to in order to define that stuff a cirle-or whatever.
hope I'm getting across what I'm trying to say lol.
Just want to know who said it so I can find a quote!

What brings you to that conclusion?

Oh, and one last thing: NO FLAMING! JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE DOESN'T AGREE WITH YOU DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO JUDGE THEM!

Thank you for your time.

Assuming that all life will eventually end, and conciousness is not part of a person's "soul" or persistent energy, does knowledge fulfill any function other than facilitating particular actions in our lives?
