If you really want to get into trouble in school offer Genesis 1:1
To be honest, I really can't imagine how else the earth got started other than intelligent design. What creation science teaches us is that while parts of evolution are even hard for the people who propagate to swallow, some parts of evolution are factual. The goal is to divide the two. While you may or may not believe in God, I think such a study would be worth your time to at least consider the possibility of intelligent design.

There is the theory that aliens put us here. I'm pretty sure that's what Scientologists believe. Pretty good reading. It's more about how humans got to earth though, not how the earth was created.
