First of all REAL is often subjective. What I perceive, may very well be considered real, by me, and accepted, even in the abstract.

TRUE is very strictly a "belief" not FACT. IE: The Universe, to me at least, is Fact. Religion, for instance, is TRUTH, and obviously believed in by millions, on some level of faith.

Ulitmately is a word relating to something that will occur after the end of a life, and no one, I know, breathing today, has any answers as to Truth, or Real, after that fact.

If each or any of my senses can experience something, it is REAL, for me. If my TRUTHS sustain me, comfort me, and remain somewhat valid, I'll very likely keep them, until they no longer offer to my "wants"

The definition of "ultimately real & true* is that one which is never changing and eternal. Time , distance , place ... nothing changes this truth.

If I apply this definition to myself , the only LONG WAY to know this ultimate truth and reality is to apply this on every other conceivable thing and ask " Is this the thruth?'" . We will keep on getting the answer "no, This is not , No. That is Not" . This long method of negating will , ultimately get us to the truth. There is no shorter way to realse this universal truth, EXCEPT ONE.

That is the acceptance of the fact that many , before us, have always asked this question for 5000 years and have come to some conclusion. We can go to a learned teacher and get the guidance.

Till such time , all that we can get answers are for "relative truth. "

Ultimately true?

The fact that I have a beautiful, intelligent, and multi-talented daughter that I can't figure out HOW my sorry @ss was ever able to give birth to.

The fact that said daughter loves me just as much as I love her.

The fact that I actually have a job that is a benefit to society (I'm a police dispatcher) even though I'm a pathetic waste of flesh.

The fact that even someone -- like me -- who is ultimately not worth the air she is breathing is still loved.

Go figure.

What is real and true are the things that we can perceive with our five senses. We have absolutely no way to know weather or not our senses are reliable, since they are the only tools with which we are equipped to test reality. However, it would be impractical to assume they are not reliable. Under this rationale, people cannot say that they only believe in what is provable (usually in reference to God or religion) but the things we see around us are no more provable than God. We just sense God with a extra, less describe sense. This does not mean he is any less tangible than any other piece of information. Truth to me is the Bible, and nothing can prove it otherwise.

the ultimate real and true is that you ask the question because you are interested in how people would answer your question; and I answered your question for you to know it. And for me that is the ultimate as you will confirm it.

For me it is a point of integrity.
Something is true for me if I have observed and experienced it to be so. And even then it is only true according to my own observation and experience and may not be true for some one else.

What is real and true and how do I know it...

The love of my husband, family and dearest friends.... I can feel it. It's in their eyes, their smiles, their actions, their hearts.
