A guilty pleasure is something that we would/do truly enjoy doing but feel that the rest of the world will judge us for.

For example: A guilty pleasure for me would be cheating on my wife with an extremely attractive woman.

While I would love to make love to (F*ck) a very fit, attractive, woman - other than my wife - I would NEVER do that because of the guilt that I would feel.

Some people - and I'm not judging - wouldn't feel any guilt and would do what they pleased.

Imagine that there is some kind of action you'd love to perform; something that would make you incredibly satisfied; but you are consciously aware that if you do go ahead and perform that action it is very likely that you may face negative consequences. If you still do not mind and actually do that "thing" that is so appealing and so irresistible than you would be enjoying a guilty pleasure. For example if you know that you are diabetic and your health would be in high risk if you eat a big fat slice of chocolate cake but you still eat it that would be a guilty please; unless you know a way to shut your brain down to stop you from thinking that you are about to face a bad outcome.

a guilty pleasure is something you like to do but you probably shouldn't and you know it. For a lot of women, eating chocolate is a guilty pleasure. They love it so much but they know it's not healthy. For some people buying themselves expensive things is a guilty pleasure. Everyone loves stuff but they don't really need it and it uses up a lot of money.

Like knowing you are on a diet and really don't need that piece of cheesecake, but you eat it anyway. That's a guilty pleasure

A guilty pleasure is something that someone secretly enjoys, but would likely not tell others about. Something they feel may not be socially acceptable.

For example: A guy enjoying Michael Bolton music when alone, but not telling friends about it.

Something that gives you instant gratification, but deep down, is not the right thing to do....such as an affair...buying a new pair of shoes when the gas bill is due...etc.
