The "Tree of Life" is depicted at the Alrwas Arboretum memorial site near Burton on Trent very graphically, with different coloured leaves, the colours and styles of these leaves are generally believed to have a deeper meaning, can anyone tell me what it is ?

Is this a test?... The tree of life was not a real tree. It is a representation of the beginning leading to the end with every thing it needs to fore fill itself with in order to become a complete ending without lack of interior qualities. The tree of life is/was a source of knowledge and anything else you can think of that would bring one instant gratitude to the fact that life does exist.

The different color leaves is a representation of the so many capabilities of this Tree. (Life) (earth and its many, many features.) A beautiful masterpiece that was/is the basis of the gifts and curses of our existence. (living creatures and organisms)

In Australia they have a similar tree called the Tree Of Beer.

The foliage makes the shape of the continent and it has cans of beer hanging from it.
Although I was told that this was very much a cultural icon i can't help but think that the culture in question didn't span much beyond the last 200 years or so... it didn't look particularly in keeping with other aboriginal concepts

Spiritual growth/understanding....
There was/is a pagan tree of life myth/reality.
As with much else the bible borrowed pagan belief incorporating the tree of life as a garden of Eden myth a myth within a myth if you like.
The tree is very much associated with Judaic Qabbalistic style teachings.
Another good source for tree of life stuff is contained within Hermetic philosophy.
Also probably related is the flower of life myth from Egypt...
As for the leaves I have no idea but possibly flower of life influence?.....
