After earthly life is gone, do you believe you will see him or her again? And what will be the story of that meeting, if so?

Should we pursue the Doing philosophy in case of matters regarding Salvation and just follow the Being philosophy in case of ordinary material matters of the World, probably all are going to die in the end. So Salvation is the Only thing that you should try to pursue with a Go, and Get It, attitude. What's your thoughts regarding this?

Also see the following link also, if you do not understand what's Doing and Being philosophies are....

think about it, we did not make ourself, so why do we own ourselves (IE like we say its our body, and can do what we want with it). If, say we make a cake, it is our cake and the cake does not own itself. Well, that means we at least own our children... haha, serious though

what do we know... are we certain of that? Why is there a contrast or exclusion between knowledge and certainty?

Quine shows how we may predicate "being-Socrates" of Socrates, then evaluate the description: there exists an object such that it is-Socrates. If all proper names, which implicitly commit us to the existence of the denotata, are reducible in our language to a description (however irreducible the description may be) are we then committed to an ontology without objects?

Every so often the knowledge of my own demise hits me and I'm panic-stricken just like when I was a child and realized the inevitable.

It puts things in perspective that life is short and I shouldn't sweat the small stuff. After a few moments; however, I seem to be back to sweating small stuff. Go figure.

If somehow humanity seemed to have past so many rules unabided and we can say after that there are rules stating that living matter is created from living matter only, then weren't the first inklings of life an accident. How does this fit in with religion , you see i believe in god yet can he make an error or did he intend to do this .

would it make sense for atheist to might as well just believe in the existence of God? since if we all die and it turns out there is no God, then thats just it, the end of the road, no more thoughts or soul or afterlife, we are just that, dead and nothing more. But if atheist turn out to be wrong and there is God, and because he believed in God, then at least he has an afterlife, however that is taught how to be achieved by various religions.

I mean, an atheist wont lose anything by believing in the existence of God, since even if he is right that there is no God, in the end, thats just it, we are all dead. no heaven or hell.

any thoughts here?

I read a lot of books, and I enjoy writing stories. Personally, I think I'm a pretty deep person, although I don't seem like it on the outside. But don't you feel like there are those people who spend every minute of every hour of everday trying to find "the meaning of life?" Isn't it so hard to have a nice, casual conversation with them?

What do you think, i personally am a bit of a hippy, not like long hair, smoke pot kind of hippy, just believe in hippy ideals. "Make Peace/Love Not War".

I think peace can be achieved in this world, if we all work together.

Slain, you will attain heaven; victorious, you will enjoy the earth. Therefore, stand up, O Arjuna, resolved to fight.
If you lay down your life fighting in the battle, you will enjoy the peaceful pleasures of heaven . Now don't brood too much over this matter, O Arjuna. Stand up with the bow in your hand and fight with valour. When a person performs his duty, all his faults become dissolved. How did you come to be deluded that you will incur sin by performing your duty? Tell me. Will a person who crosses a river in a boat get drowned? Will a person walking straight on a highway stumble? But he who does not know how to walk properly will miss his footing. If a person drinks milk mixed with poison, he will surely die; likewise a person incurs sin if he does his duty with the motive of gain. Therefore, if you perform your duty as a warrior and fight disinterestedly, then it is not sinful
