"Because it does not tell the truth, imaginative literature must shut down readers' rational faculties, in order that it can appeal to their emotions; the effect of such literature, then, is to weaken the minds of its readers." -plato

Socrates: I think that, my dear friend, Plato that men are ready to die where the prophetic powers of them,I, always used to our harsh critizcisms of me and I was always in thought I was in arrogrant and vain, and they may be right that, I , still don't know if I know if we are right , where, the excellence of good of thinking of taking the hemlock for the sake of good, my dearest friend, I know that I still don't know that , may be wrong for drinking the hemlock, but I only know that the examined life was worth living and if piety is the reverence to the gods not of the gods loving the reverence, then, Plato, my dearest friend, when ,the examined life is in reverence, the Gods, judge it pious ,when, the greater life has left the good , and I, my dearest friend, rather in vain or arrogrance, I , realize that I may be wrong and this is the sin that Meletus doesn't know that I maybe wrong because I believe that I could be wrong." Lest you sin against philosophy twice! The heads drop.

They began as 100 blue, shirtles men in tights frolicking in the forest. When they first got a female, she had been created by their arch nemisis Gargamel, and was evil and intent on destroying them all until Papa smurf fixed her. The second female, Sassette, was the same way. Then they introduced Granny smurf, who came into being before the show began, so we don't actually know what her origin was. By the end of the series, the men numbered 105 (if you count the robot smurf, Clockwork) and only 3 females. Another interesting note is that the second girl was made so that Smurfette had female companionship, because she needed another girl to talk to.

" He who is not entangled by the sense-objects does not feel pleasure and pain and does not become involved in rebirth. That which does not crone under the sway of sense-objects is eternal; know this, O Arjuna. "
