I believe that Muslimism has been distorted by a society where people were purposely left uneducated. If someone can't read the Koran, then he/she depends on someone to tel him/her what is in it. This has allowed the leaders of these middle eastern countries to tell their citizens whatever they want and say it was Allah's idea. I am no expert, but I do have some insight through people I know that are from that area. I don't believe a true muslim would kill poeple. I believe they only do this if they have been brainwashed by a corrupt government that uses religion as a tool to get their people to start wars and breed suicide bombers.

I think that most Bible commentators believe that "the Beast" is an individual, not a movement or an organization. Some people think that the Beast and the Antichrist are the same person; some people think that they are two different people.

Having said that, I will risk been politically incorrect in order to give you an honest answer; some Bibical commentators have speculated that the Antichrist might be a radical Muslim leader because: (i) Fundamental Islam lends itself to hero worship, which would fit the cult of the Antichrist mentioned in Revelations; (ii) the Antichrist appears to be from "Babylon" -- if this is taken literally, note that the ruins of Babylon are in Iraq; (iii) the Antichrist seems to secretly hate the nation of Israel and he will try to completely destroy it, thereby triggering about the Battle of Armageddon; and, of course, (iv) radical Islam is on the news a lot, so people tend to interpret the Bible cased on their own cultural biases & fears.

No will know for sure until it happens, so your guess is as good as anyone elses.

The secret of the identity of the beast is found in Revelation, the last book of the Christian bible.
It's a riddle that says (paraphrased) 'The name of the beast is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred three score and six (666). Let he who is intelligent understand'.
There have been volumes and volumes written about this, and I've heard people accuse Reagan of being the beast because there are 6 letters in each of his names Ronald Wilson Reagan. I've heard the US government even set up computer programs to try to unravel that secret.
But consider this, isn't the first thing we think of when we read that passage from Revelation - Who is it? Automatically, we are accusing everyone of potentially being the beast. Other names found for the beast in that Christian bible include satan, the father of lies, and "The Accuser".
When we accuse, are we not carrying out the will of the beast? So then, if when we read that passage, we look anywhere for the beast except within ourselves, we have already become the beast. Paradoxically, when we accept that the beast is within us, and do not accuse others of being the beast, we contain the beast, and do not become it, or give it 'life' (animate it). That is the secret of the number of the beast.
To answer your question, you risk animating the beast within by asking it.

All I know about you from your profile is that you are 'anti Muslim'!
So what? big deal!!
I, on the other hand am anti all religion, you seem to have some understanding of 'the beast' fairy tale which implies you are some sort of religious freak ? If you believe that cra* you will believe anything!
The Islamic faith is no better or worse than any other religion, to get a bunch of like minded nutters to band together and run down any particular religion is to my mind a complete waste of time and energy!
Is going to Mecca and walking around in circles any more stupid than going to church to eat bits of wafer bread, and sip wine in the belief that it is 'body and blood'?
I wonder why you have just selected Islam here, have the news papers being saying nasty things about Muslims again?
Not often you read any 'nasties' about Christians is it, I wonder why that is?? Dont we have a few 'Christian' troops scattered around the world doing their thing?

No, Islam is not 'the beast', and only the narrow-minded would believe such a thing. Religion becomes messy when it gets tangled with war and politics. There are people from every religion who have been responsible for suffering in the world - Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews etc. This does not mean that their religions are 'The Beast'. It is the flaws in human nature which distort faith.

Having said this, I do not agree with orthodoxy and dogma - and that goes for all the world religions.

So you're judging one form of delusion by the standards of another?

No, Islam is not "The Beast," because The Beast is just a christian fantasy. Forget about orthodox religion entirely, because it's the cause of nearly ALL of the savagery and suffering in the world.

I'm not saying forget about spirituality - but "religion" as such is really the worst form of bigotry, because to truly believe in any one religion is to believe that everybody who doesn't is hell-bound or the equivalent.

It depends on situations and regulations.
No, Islam is not the beast. I have some Islamic friends which they are seeking for a peace too. They are just like us they don't like to fight or kill people. People hate wars.
In my opinion, press or news somehow put Islamic people in a bad side. There're so many the exact event happened around the world. Why do we need to concern only Islamic countries?
People are equal, please...

The term beast is sometimes used in reference to a super computer in Brussels. Biblically, the term refers to a political leader, not a particular religion. If the world is divided into ten economic regions, then eventually, a poliltical leader will be appointed for each region. Nine of the leaders will give their political power to one leader, who will become the beast.

Nero was "the beast." John was writing about current events, not future ones. "Fire from the sky" could just as easily describe the World Trade Center, so would you be as willing to describe the United States as "the beast"?
