I would first like to know why you DO believe that? If you do?

This derives from the numerous places in the Bible where Jesus say's implicitly that he is the son of God, no-where claiming that he himself was God.
This caused a problem to his followers though. How can one believe in the divinity of Jesus and not be a polytheist?
Thus, John chapter 17, where Jesus say's "The father and the Son are one in the Holy Spirit" was interpreted litterally as being ONE, God and Jesus, but I believe this is not what Jesus meant or even intended, as he goes on to say that we are all one with the father in the Holy Spirit.
This was further substantiated with the first five verses of John, which is in reality a later era poem that was interoplated onto the book of John and does not fit the rest of the writing style of the original author. This poem re-writes the first part of Genesis, indicating that the word was with God at the creation of the universe. In verse 14 we see that the word becomes flesh and walks among us.
Personally, I don't buy it. Jesus is Jesus, God is God and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and not a third individual. In other words, The Holy Spirit is not some ecotplasmic ghost that you would expect to see in your favorite halloween movie, but rather the spirit of love, charity and peace.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth...... 1:17...grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John sure took his sweet time to get around to saying that Jesus is the Word (logos) that he was talking about in verses 1-16.
It is just hard for us little humans to imagine how God-the-Father, and God-the-Son (Jesus) and God-the-Holy-Spirit could be one person. Even the Bible has a way of describing them individually. Even though they are the 3-in-One.
I try to imagine myself as having a mind, body & soul. Even though I know I'm one person, I'm still these three. It's hard to wrap my thoughts around their oneness.

We still believe in duality, we think we are a-part from the source
For the most part people haven't awaken to the knowledge of Jesus, or understood what he was even saying. I would like to suggest a book for those who see this, Disappearance of the universe;; by Gary Renard. I hope you all wake up out there.

jesus is the story of Osiris and Horus
repeated after 6000 years
it is the symbolic representation of the life cycle of the sun
pagan sun worship that underwent a social change
so Osiris was reincarnated or reborn as Horus
both being the same
and God was reincarnated as Jesus both being the same
the wholy ghost representing the death part (also being the same )
there fore symbolically spaeking God ,Jesus ,the holy ghost are one
but still it is all symbolism .not real entities unless the sun is an entity
just like the wings on the angekls represented flight of men who descended from the skies (space men)
not real guys with wings
pepole have always made the mistake of taking symbolism literaly if it was old enough.
just as Adam was not one man ,but a whole race created by the Anunaki to mine gold for them
and the snake in the garden was Anunaki
the fruit of knowledge was not a real fruit it was a figure of speach
etc etc,

Simple: such knowledge does not come by intelligence. Nor is it learned from another human being. Nor is it discerend by human logic and reasoning. Nor is it proven by the scientific method. And it cannot be determined from historical or archealogical evidence...
It comes by revelation alone...that is, revealed to be truth to the soul by God Himself, even supernaturally by the working of the Holy Spirit - and this, by grace of the Father through faith in Son, the Word of God, alone.
See Matthew 16:17 and 1 Corinthians 2:14

Because just a little over a hundred years ago Joseph Smith received a visitation from the two of them and God said to Joseph, introducing Jesus, This is my only begotten son, hear him! When Jesus was baptized and the dove descended on his head. God's voice was heard saying - this is my son in whom I am well pleased.
When Jesus hung on the cross dieing, he said Father forgive them for they know not what they do!!

Some people, Christians included, have a hard time praying to a human. The concept of "God" in human form is a tough one for me to wrap my head around.

because they aren't?.. i mean.. to me jesus and god are different from one another. who was jesus calling god? who was jesus praying to? who was god referring to as his own son? i'm not sure i believe in the holy trinity,.. the bible did say that there is only one god, our father, the sole creator of heaven and earth. and then along comes the holy trinity. jesus is the son of man and son of god, while god is the father of jesus and of all creation. . . maybe that's why. there are so many religions out there now, they all believe in the same god, but they teach differently from one another. which one is the real way? which one will be the door to heaven? so many questions, not enough asnwers...
