I'm 19 and a little lost.

What's your best advice on life?

Tell me anything- about people you've lost, time you wasted, regrets, marriage? Do you wish you could go back? Do you ever think of chances that you let slip through your fingers when you were younger? Tell me anything...

You can apply this thought, as a generic question, to any subject you like.

I received a clever answer to a previous question. Essentially that answer was:

There are 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who understand the binary number system, and those who don't.

Which is true, if you understand the binary system and see that it applies to the digits 10.

However, if you don't understand the binary system, the statement appears at best inconsistent, and maybe even untrue.

So, does the truth of a written statement depend upon your knowledge?

If it DOES, how can we ever be sure that anything written is true?

it looks likely that soon we will have quantum computers who's power will dwarf anything we have now and its complexity may rival the human brain. could it be possible that these machines could be capable of learning by experience and develop a sense of self awareness, become a sentient individual. please don't mention an immortal soul as if this does come to pass you'll have backed your religion into a corner. the only soul i would be interested in is the mortal soul, the synthesis of emotion and intellect, the escence of one's identity. would the growth of intelligence naturally lead to the growth of some form of emotion? if machine did become self aware could they be owned? what rights would they have?

Surely there must be someone in Manila who is adventurous, funny, intelligent, inquiring, uncoventional, creative, altruistic and probably wondering what the hell they are doing (both in Manila and even upon EARTH).

i am not a writter or even a speaker.........but i have to do something.......this makes me creative, so mabe i am becoming all things, it is quite amazing how fast you can learn anything so fast when there is great emotion put into. it is not just me, there are more out there, they are just awaiting the right moment, the right way........but as in the bible i beleive it was jonthan, can not remember, but he got tired of waiting, he could not stand what was happening, seeing so many die, seeing so many hurt, so he started and to what end, i seem to not remember, i will look it up when i wake...but there was another that he was supposed to wait for before starting,,,,,,,it was samuel, but he was late, the reason he was late was because he was waiting to see what the people were saying first,,,he wanted to make sure it would all turn out good,,,he did not have the faith the the other did that it would.........will we be like samuel, will our kids have to do it....

Basically, do thoughts, words, desires, fears, etc. have energy that alters things, situations, or possibly the world? I was sent an email that said on Oct. 17th, the power of our thoughts, intentions, etc. would have a much much greater effect than usual. What do you think?

You just dislike his presence he's noisy He talks so loud
He even singing when he's suppose to be quiet in work station
He talks a lot and doesn't care about other people's feelings but he's own the good thing he transfer to the morning shift but he still hang- out at night! He comes in and out of the office as if he owns the place As if he's going to die if he couldn't sing loudly or speak loudly he has a microphone but still speak as if he doen't have Even when far from he's work Station you can still hear his loud annoying voice I already ask him if he could modulate his voice (3 times) Guess he totally ignore me he says I butt-in when they're talking as if he doesn't do that either He also butt-in especially when other people talking and he wants to let people know he's so great! He let's everybody know he knows a lot of things and knows different languages, I don't want to report it because I don't want problems.
