we are having a relay for life booksale at work...and someone brought a book on assistetd suicide in today's society....it was written by an m.d......well as a supervisoir was going thru the books she noticed this and made a big show of throwing it away...then when i went ot retrieve it from her garabage can.....she snatched it and said that she bought that book and chose to throw it away.....now i see from thier persceptive that a book like that can force the company to be liable if someone read it after buying the book here....but then i believe that it is the ultimate sin is to burn a written piece of literatrue.....i believe that this is censorship...they had no specifications on what kind of books we could bring (other then porn).....what are your thoughts....covering their backs or censorship?

The knowledge that we know as good and bad are mearly behaviors that we learn through external and internal stimuli. If we took out what we know as good and bad, then we take out what is our behaviors (including emotions). If we take out our behaviors, then we take out any concept of opinion, which then we would take out any type of judgment. Which then as a result, do we become robots?

God created the law of nature.
Human created the law of prevention.
Law of nature applies to the universe.
Law of prevention applies to the egotism.
A living ego obeys the law of prevention.
A death ego only obeys the law of nature.

Do you really think we are just a skinbag of blood, bones and brain matter? If so, where did you "learn" that?
Then what is the soul? A possession? Something you try to keep shiny to show to God at he "end of the day"?
Aren't YOU, your soul? Isn't the body a possession, including your brain?
The "Authorities" would have you believe otherwise.
Don't you know better- or is easier for you if you think it is 'all over' when you die. Yea, I bet it is.
But you DO know better, don't ya?

I'm guessing most would want to profit although I wouldn't want a penny.

friend of mine passed away last year suddenly, and at a young age (28)..my fiancee and i moved in with his widow recently. and last night i had a dream...i wont include anything but the end as to shorten this ?...he grabbed my face gently and i did the same..(not sexually) and he said "you should see it here.its beautiful" i was crying and he looked at me and smiled, and said "i have to go now, goodbye my friend." i was crying bad and woke up.my ? is.. im a realist and completely deny the existance of god.hell i believe in UFO's before god. i believe in the soul as energy to be released into the universe or perhaps another dimention such as in M theory..but this dream has shaken my unshakeable belief in the real as i know it..are dreams spiritual or just built up feelings overloaded in the mind? im just looking for opinions to steer me back on track into my cofort zone of realism.

This strikes me as quite a key thing, seeing as a lot questions such as "does God exist?" rely on what the word actually means.
for exampe the following argument
"unicorns exist in our minds therefore they exist"

The definiton I have been using is that to say something exists is to say "there is one or more of x" so if you take the above example I would say "unicorns don't exist but the idea of unicorns does" have any criticisms of that I would also like to hear them.

Man's choosing between good and evil is influenced, not only by the keenness of his moral nature, but also by such influences as ignorance, immaturity, and delusion.
