If you had the cure for cancer...?

would you try and profit from it or make it as accessible to everyone as possible?

I'm guessing most would want to profit although I wouldn't want a penny.

Make it accessible. My best friend as a child died of a brain tumor. Her granddad was my pediatrician. Even with Saint Jude's, there was no cure for Brett. I can remember how devastated her folks and grandparents were. And me. I think of her from time to time even now.

It seems noble to give such a thing away, but it prevents long-term development in other areas.

I would profit from it, using the proceeds to set up a company dedicated to treating and curing heart disease. Would I donate some of the cure to hospitals, to give to the poor? Sure, why not? I'm a good guy, and the goal is to help as many as possible.

Let me ask you a different question. Does the cure for cancer have no value to you? No profit, no value.

Both! The fact that there would be a cure for cancer would make it easy to make money. I would divert some of the profits so that the poor would have access to the cure through a Foundation I ran so that I could get massive tax breaks for having the Foundation. That way everybody wins, especially me.

Well, yes, actually I would profit from it. Here is my reasons. First of all, if the cancer was one that affected all the women in the world, such as breast cancer, the cure for cancer would have dramatic results on our society and economy. I know we don't think of disease in this way, but, certain decease do have an effect on our society. I would need compensation before the government and health system profit from it.

There is already a cure for cancer and it is very inexpensive but the doctors and especially the chemo makers do not want you to know this....it would cost them billions of dollars.

Cancer as well as any virus cannot live in an Oxygen rich environment. There is a product on the market known as Stabilized liquid Oxygen. It has a PH of 13.7 which will kill almost every virus there is. Anything lower will not do the job.

I wouldn't want to profit either and if for some reason it was limited I would give it to all of the sick children first before giving the rest to some the adults. Smokers and alcohol drinkers with related cancers would not benefit because they made a choice to jeopardize their health and there fore are not entitled.

i'm unsure since... there's a good probability i'd be assassinated for having the cure and telling the world since cures are heavily based in corruption and the mighty dollar.

i'd share it.. i'm so sick of cancer and folks dying from it.. i grew up with it and was terrorized by the disease... i wondered by the time i was 9 if everyone didn't get it eventually and died on me.

but i'm sure if i said HEY i got the CURE! do as you wish those of science and research... then later i'd wake up dead... i'm sure by someone hired by the AMA or some other government affiliated 'situation'.

it's all politics and money.. such a shame...

Out of all the things we know in the world we cant cure it!! i believe there is a cure for cancer and aids to..but there is no money in the cure only treatment and medication

I'm with you about making a profit. However, it would benefit research if you made a bit so you could go on to trying to conquer other diseases. And you would want to pay your help a decent wage.

i think that if a person dedicated that much time and energy to something like that, they would be doing it to help others, not to profit. if you wanted to profit from something, you would start a business, or the like.
