some of my best advice is to bite the bitterness of these lectures. Because you know they are 'wrong' you still need to learn what he is saying. Its not worth attacking the small fries.
Just think what you have to gain... nothing really. Maybe some short term victory.
Loss: Bias could lead to you not interested in studing which can bring down your grade. Time spend fighting could have been put into other class work.
Unless there is something very dangerious what the teacher is saying, like trying to start a cult or something its usually in your best interest to calm down.
A professor is kinda an iffy subject since you are paying but thats that what you are asking so i wont get into it.

If I were in your situation, I think you should've a sense of humor by reflecting that it's your wonderful time sitting to witness a dedicated teacher. He deserves your forgiveness, there might be some good reasons behind the story. For instance, he might've opened/consulted the wrong page from the textbook or have demonstrated an unlikely solution from misunderstanding. In brief, if you're kind and considerate to him, the teacher'd be so to you.
Moreover, it's not easy for teachers to accept their wrong teachings, they've their own pride. I'm sure good teachers're ready to correct mistakes because we know we learn from doing mistakes but wrong teachings're serious and should be seen to by his superiors or the authority with some good, friendly advice.

First, consider that he might be right, and you might be wrong.
More likely though, you're both wrong. You may have an opportunity to actually learn something - rare, but it happens. Research what you think he/she is wrong about. Deep research. Spend some time on the net, in a library. Keep a notebook about what you find. Present when you feel it's certain but make sure you ask someone who disagrees with you first before you submit it.
I think you're in for interesting times.

The same way you tackle an egoistic doctor. You don't. You live with it. Focus on the message, not the messenger.

You do one of two things. You change classes to another teacher or you adapt to his or her style.
As long as the teacher controls the grade book there are no wrong teachings.

i have learnt that whenever you have a professor thats set in his ways, the best you can do is to just do what he requires in order to pass the course. it doesnt destroy your character, it just shows that you are willing to compromise in order to succeed. this will only make you stronger because you are or have probably work with people or a boss that is aggravating. you have to sometimes accept these things has a challenge in order to get what you need. in the end their negativity should not be your problem.

i doodle. Read the chapter as many times as it takes to get it.
Sometimes i doodle the best pictures some to small for me to recreate. then sometimes out of no where i'll make some funny sound to make me feel better. His only goal is to be the center of attention humor him when he gets puffy then back to the doodle.
or the infamous love letter to no one that one usually does the trick

If he's wrong on a factual matter, then make a good case and prove him wrong. If you merely believe he's wrong on a moral issue or a matter of opinion, then accept it and try to understand why he holds those positions.
