If we live in a truly causal Universe then everything requires a cause or reason for its existence, including mathematical truths. Why, then, 2x2 = 4?

I was watching the Matrix the other day, and when it got to the part where Neo was being programmed to learn how to fight and use weapons I wondered, "If I could program 3 attributes into my mind, what would they be." Now there are some stipulations to this question. First off, it can't be an impossible attribute, like to fly, or to see into the future, or anything like that. It has to be a legitimate thing that humans can do (like Jujitsu). Have fun, be creative.

i've never kicked a guy in the nuts. ever. i recently found out that my daughter has. we had a talk about when it's appropriate to do something like that, but sad as it is to say, i became a little jealous even as i was finger wagging. even sadder, i though about how when i go out with my freinds, there are certain guys i could certainly do it to and nobody would blame me in the least (i'm a little chunky, so certain guys feel free to be crude and act like they're doing me the favor). i feel pathetic for thinking it, yet ever so tempted - especialy since i found out even my own kid has had the experience. what do you guys think?

This question relates to previous discussions of the concept of different people's view of what an abominiation is. I mean, this poor little critter, minding it's own business, had to die because we prefer to cart our burgeoning hineys around in this fashion.

Sex...The human' #1 pleasure is always associated with dirt, dirty
talk, dirty stories, etc... is it just because of the other function of the sex organs or there's more to it, Personally I believe it's a way to tell the human beings that they're not unique creatures and far from perfection!!

Computers can already computate at rates that are million times faster than human beings. If they ever achieve levels of awareness and logic similar to humans, won't they eventually become more intelligent than humans themselves?

What are the implications of having something more intelligent than human beings? Is it a threat to our survival? Should we allow such an intelligence to exist?

The americans (in the movies and in TV) unknow what theyr goverment did in other countries. For example, they believe the terrorism is because a religion. They don't know USA is guilt for the Palestin problem and the terrorism.

Everytime a children shoot somebody in some school...

They put the president in a airplane for fight with the aliens in movies (Independence Day, 1994)...

They think USA it was successful in World War II because de "D Day", forgotten the URSS already parctically had won the war.

What you (an american who don't be in a TV or a movie) think about it?
