The question is, "How do I live?" The answer, of course, is to die to self. Just like the seed that must die to germinate and create new life, man must cause his "flesh"(or selfish nature) to die, in order to develop an understanding of the true nature of the universe.
You and I, for example, will never truly relate until we drop our earthly baggage in favor of a more excellent way. It is a shame that although the world's great religions all preach this concept, very few of their adherents practice it. I think you are trying. I know I am.
