Why are we here? Why do we think? Why do we feel? Why do we ask this daunting question? To torment ourselves? I have a feeling that we will never know the answer to any of these questions, but it is the feeling we get when we ask these questions, or when we find the answers, that brings us closer to contentment and peace that keeps us coming back for more. It is our logic that asks the questions, and it is the imagination that answers it. Why do we need to know that we are connected, or that we are not worthless, or perhaps that there is a life after death? To keep us from leaping into the depths of fear and insanity. It does not mean that these answers are real and out there, it just means that since we have such a blinded view of life because of mortality and common stupidity, we may never know the answer. So until then... WHY? Never stop asking and never stop searching...

Because you are a privileged species that is endowed with the ability to reason beyond mere physical survival needs.
Because you possess the inalienable right to ask, to seek and to find.
Because you were created in the image of a superior being that had given you the best amongst the animal kingdom. To multiply richly and to subdue the earth.
Because asking why, is the pathway to knowledge and discovery, a journey that even a lifetime is insufficient to traverse.
"Why", a special privilege so often taken for granted.
