Being spiritual is something you feel, not learn....
You can learn to see the interconnectedness of all things though, and thereby gain a sense of the stupendous complexity and overwhelming beauty of the nature of existence. Awareness of this 'bigger picture' tends to foster an awe and acceptance of a "divine order" in life... call it and its workings what you will; God or Gods and Goddesses, Great Spirit, Allah, Yahweh and all the rest... including Science, although I am sure there are many scientists that would disagree!
The act of and training in appreciation and awareness of your part/place in this 'mystery' is the act of religious practice, whatever you chose to call it as well... Hinduism, Christianity, Wicca, Chaos Magik, Shamanism, Buddhism and the list goes on fair endless... The differences between them lie mainly in the rituals used to gain the awareness and how you apply it once knowledge is gained.
Learning 'about' spiritualism, as in religions, rituals, practices and so on, is a course of study like any other. Internet, classes, books and groups will provide sources of information and experience.

I'm sure there are many books on the Hindu religion.
I think the previous respondent is referring to John Edward. Not everyone who does what John Edward does belongs to the Spiritualist religion. And I'm almost certain John Edward is not Hindu.

mmmmmmm truely spiritualism is really being of high spirits in what you believe in. Happy and exuding what and who you are on a daily basis. Hindu, gods, goddess, faith, mysteries, devotion, emancipation are beliefs. Living beliefs is challenging....
To keep it simple.... be of high spirits with life... be peace ful and content with your lot. Placidly go forth into life and give of yourself. Freedom will come when you are more responsible with yourself.

No its no longer genuine that Christ spent a large element of his childhood in India gaining expertise of spiritualism from the Saints, Sages and Buddhists. the place did we come from? Ecclesiastes 3:20 (NLT) - the two visit the comparable place—they got here from dirt and that they return to dirt. the place can we visit next? Ecclesiastes 12:7(NLT) - For then the dirt will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Why are some individuals born in such diverse backgrounds, shapes, sizes and each each now and then no longer healthy? Cuz as quickly as we've been all of the comparable race and spoke comparable language, we tried to construct a tower so intense as to realize heaven and God did no longer approve, the completed tale is in financial disaster 11 of the e book of Genesis. Genesis 11:9 (NLT) - because of fact of this the city became called Babel, because is the place the Lord puzzled the folk with distinctive languages. in this way he scattered them international huge. I recommend "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Parahamsa Yogananda. I also recommend that you attend a lecture by the great-grandson of Lahiri Mayhasaya, who tours the US about once every 18 months.
I also recommend you read Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World," which is about the scientific method and how it can help you prevent getting ripped off or conned by spiritualists or fanatics.

You can read books, but they can only guide you, not teach you as to what spiritualism is. If you're already spiritual, good for you. If not, you're a pragmatist and probably will not change no matter how many books you'll read.

Thats not spiritualism. Spiritualism is the fake shimsham where morons rip folks off by telling them they are speaking to their dead relatives. Jonathan Edwards is one for example.

You can have faith in the Buddha, God, or anybody... I think it is more important that you have faith in yourself. That's where your spirituality grows.
What helps me feel most spiritual is prayer.
It's very simple, but I find it deep and sincere.

avoid this, God condemns it and condemns those who practice it. They are the enemies of God. And you don't want to be His enemy, do you?
