Offer a man food, he would eat and after a while he would indeed say he doesn't want any more of it.Offer him scents and after a while he would say he doesn't want to smell any more of it.But offer him money and he would never say he doesn't want any more of it.

If you're just looking for points, it doesn't matter does it. You could care less. . . . 2pts. and you're gone.

But there are some of us who enjoy posting a good question, and sometimes we have something we would really like to know, especially if there is someone who might give us an Excellent answer.
But for the really tough questions, it is as much a challenge to someone who might give it a shot, if they are up to it. But otherwise, not everyone can take on a tough question. And have the appearance of knowing what you're talking about, because it does count. It wouldn't be an important question anyway.

It just kinda sucks, that it sits there and nobody note worthy will take a jab at it. It isn't there to scare peeps, but its there coz we do want to know if there is an answer.

Isn't that what a question is for? To provoke those gears in your head to function to some extent?

But what about this soul many talk of? This does not require neural pathways as such. The soul keeps going but the dream ends?

Suppose the Earth was being invaded by aliens from another planet who wanted to destroy us because they thought human beings were unimportant. After some brief interaction they reconsider and will allow us to live if someone can define humanity to them. How would you define what it means to be a human being?

1.He created life and everything in existence.
2.Angels were part of his perfect creations.
3.oops! maybe God wasn't so perfect after all...one angel dared to
challenge him. ok, so God is flawed in creating perfection.
4.As a result of this new battle that now the devil was in competition for our souls....this is a battle God could lose! oh no! God is weaker than the devil!!
5.So now God decides to be a vengeful, jealous God and establishes rules for all his creation....."be good...or else!!". Wow, so now he's also a mean God that would send his creations gone bad to the burning ovens of the universe.

6. he sent his only son to save us from his creations gone bad. an embarrassing God, my oh my.

7. his word, rules and warnings were passed on to only the immediate apostles as another way to save us. We must follow these specific rules, this particular process and only then will you be given eternal life in heaven. If you get it wrong, if you dare make a mistake... yur done.

...and you had to chose one person to sit in the seat next to you, knowing that neither of you would survive, who would that one person be? Why?

Don't be a hero and try to say that you wouldn't chose anyone. The only rule of this game is that you have to pick someone.

Vedantic problem here. The only thing I can find (like Descartes) with a definite ontological status is my own consciousness. Since I cannot assign any definite ontological status to anything else without bringing in other beliefs (even if reasonable), is it even possible to find a relationship between consciousness and it's contents? Until I can demonstrate something else existing, is it not premature to try to relate "it" to consciosuness? I realize that asking my question subtlely contradicts its basis, but please put that aside.

I need to define my terms?
What about dead people that have thoroughly decomposed or already been cremated?
For this question, let's assume "dead people" includes everyone who has ever died (since humankind first emerged from the primordial category), no matter what eventually happened to the body. Where could I find research on this question?
Disclaimer: This question was already asked on Yahoo-Answers, but the answers were not cogent. I'm asking the question again, for I desire cogent answers.
Please, thank you.
