Your dreams are the activity of your subconscious mind. If you are troubled in your daily life, you may have bad dreams that involve certain symbols. The symbols could be anything (ghosts, violence, crapping your pants, you name it!), and they are all specific to how you feel about things. For example, if you are afraid of snakes, you might have a dream about snakes attacking you, which means you are afraid of something in real life. If you love snakes, some other type of thing may be attacking you in a dream.

What I've found is that the more you pay attention to your dreams (write them down in the a.m.), the more you can interpret them, and that will help you realize and solve the problems in your everyday life. Believe me, this works! Also, the more you pay attention while you're asleep, the clearer your dreams may be.

There are a lot of books on dream interpretation, but some of them are crap. I'd recommend the author Betty Bethards - this book helped me alot.

Bad dreams, or Nightmares, is the brain's way of drawing focus and attention to an unresolved problem. So, if you have a recurring bad dream or nightmare, you obviously haven't heard the message or resolved the issue that your subconscious is trying to figure out.

The subconscious mind is like a seperate level of our mental self, it has it's own visual language and perception of the world around us, it can often see what we cannot see in our own waking reality because we are very easily distracted by body language, functions, hunger, thirst, attraction etc etc.

If we start repeating a pattern that we know is going to harm us, alarm us or worry us, we have a fail safe system that alerts us through our dreams... all we have to do is take note.

This, not surprisingly, takes alot of practise, we are appalling at listening to our own judgement, our own intuition and our own common sense.

Most of my bad dreams are exaggerations of my worries and fears when I am awake. Like I could be worrying about a project that is due, and in my dream I'll be getting shot or beaten because I didn't listen to someone and do whatever they wanted in time.

prayer has nothing to do with your dreams...Your dreams are a different reality in which you live and surround yourself in a sudden conscious when you sleep. If you are in a bad state of mind you most likely would have nightmares or bad dreams.

We have bad dreams about the things we can't realize or do in real life.
We have nightmares abotu what we fear, what we want to do and what we think would happen. It is simply our brains way of living it and dealing with it.
