God created us out of His Love, so our entry into his realm, the heaven is unconditional, as it is ‘our home’, and we are merely visiting here.
That is why nothing that we do here can ever make us unworthy of his love. God’s love is unconditional and so is our entry into his realm.

I take it you don't like religious dogma? Theists play the supernatural card to explain the unkown. Have you noticed that miracles have stopped with the advent of digital movie cameras?

Religion was created by people who were afraid of death, and who were looking for answers to everything. For example, Christians believe that Adam and Eve were the first two humans. If they were to reproduce, all of their children and eventualy us, would all be inbred. The bible also says they gave birth to three sons. Now, the only woman in this picture is there mother. That would also be a future to inbredity (sp). So who did Cain and Seth populate the earth with? Definatly not each other! This is just one reason the Bible is just a book of stories, all it does is make people afraid.

And if god was so perfect, why did he come up with 15 or so hominids that became extinct? Poor Neanderthals. Are we the new and improved model....us Cro-Magnons?

And what of the poor passenger pigeons, Noah saved their species, but only to become extinct by the end of the 1800's, or whenever. I could take many pages listing the number of animals that have become extinct in the last 2000 years.

Creative summary!

When you break just about anything down you can make it sound absurd. People do it to make their opponents sound inept so they can seem more enlightened. Unfortunately, just demeaning your opponent's viewpoint does not make it untrue.

Seems to me there are many things we accept as reality that can be made absurd. Try this one:

Billions of years ago a piece of something was floating around in emptiness

That something exploded into zillions of pieces that floated across the universe then started to clump together

Somewhere in that universe some of those things got together and came alive

That stuff figured out how to replicate itself

The offspring were slightly different than the parent

Over generations, the offspring grew eyes, teeth, fins, etc

Later generations tried to get out of the water (which, itself was a product of those molecules from that bang)

They eventually grew legs, lost their tail, and became humans

like any religion, christianity is based on faith. People want to be able to influence where they will end up. They enjoy the struggle for righteousness. They like to be able to say "I followed all teh rules, now i get to go to heaven." or "I followed the teachings of some carpenter's son, i deserve salvation." They like the idea that if they do this certain specific set of things, they will go somewhere good, while their neighbors who are partying it up while they are praying will end up suffering for an eternity. What a vengeful race is man.

Heh. ;)

Yep, that sounds about right. Sounds about like what the Evangelical Herd Animals want us all to "buh-leeve-uh" doesn't it?

And yeah, it does sound nine kinds of crazy when you put it that way, reading it *literally* at face value. *lol* :)

But then again, that is what those Dominionist, Evangelical people want us to all do isn't it, to hang it up, leave our thinking brains and free will *at the door* and just take everything literally at face value...

And it gets worse. :) *lol* Boy does it ever....and the sad part is, *everybody* does this, in terms of faith. Everybody.

Sad huh? As "Smart" as we seem to be you'd think *somebody* would get a little bit closer to right than average, but with the way the world is now....it just isn't so.

LOL

The christian bible being a slobbering babies version of the Old Testament, which isn't anything of merrit in my eyes, but that bible doesn't view god as being some nice good fluffy do-goody vomitus entity, it's purely do or die, some what like your #7.

Now that I realize what's going on here, I thought I'd come back and humble myself a bit. You made a good point with this question.
