I need a really great and a fairly quick ( i know there isn't a real fast way, but just as fast as its possible) way to build my upper register. I have a solo that goes to the high E (for B flat trumpet)
Above the leger lines. i can play the C fairly well, and the D is begiining to sound better, but its for the Maynard Ferguson "Gonna Fly Now" so I need a great way in the next month or so to be able to hit those notes and have them at least sound pretty good. Thanks, and I appreciate your answers.

How do you sing from your chest and not from your throat. I know it's hard to describe verbally and I've done it once, but I think I still sing from my throat, and I know that's very abusive to the vocal cords.

Ok, I am 25 years old and have never played any form of guitar in my life but would really love to learn. I'm not looking to be in a band or be Jimmy Hendrix or anything, but I would really like to be able to sit back and play songs for myself and other people. The kinds of music I like are bands like the Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews Band, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. My questions are where do I start? What kind of guitar should I get? What should I do to start learning, how often will I need to practice and how long will it take me to get good at it? Thanks for the advice!

Does it matter what size reed you play with, does it really affect the sound cause I am trying to go from a 2.5 size to a 3 and it's really hard. Would it really matter if I just stayed at a 2.5?
