I watched it tonight for the first time in probably 20 years.

Most of the actors playing these high school characters are in their 30s! Lordy, why didn't they just put in some jokes about them having been held back 15 years?

And why, having re-set the thing in California, did they retain the strong [and somewhat annoying] Brooklyn dialects?

And did greasers in the 1950s really walk that way? They guys swagger so much that their hips are almost popping and it looks like they're almost skipping.

Don't get me wrong -- it's a fun movie, and I remember going to see it at the drive-in with several friends the summer it came out. But now it just looks perplexingly odd.

I've been playing over 20 years with no progress made. I have fun at it, but it seems most bands now can't find a way to get along.

I actually enjoy playing guitar more.

Should I just quit playing drums?

What is the typical scale length/length of a 3/4 sized guitar?
Since my guitar is currently too large for me I'm thinking about getting a 3/4 sized.

I am considering taking violin lessons, and I was wondering if at my age it was too late to start? I'll be 31 next month, but

I do have musical background, I took 7 years violin classes,I was wondering how much do violin classes normally charge and good violin instruction usually cost. Thanks so much!!

i recentlty started to learn the guitar from a 'free internet guitar learning course' site.i'm kinda like 17 now.most of the friends of mine who plays the guitar started when they were 13/14.so i was wonderin' if it's too late for me to start learning the guitar in this age.so i asked this ques. to know how long it'll take me to start giggin' the guitar in tune or when i'll be able to say to the people that i know how to play the guitar. and how much time i'd have to give for it daily?

My acoustic is already over 20 years old and I think it's time for it to take it easy. I'm thinking about getting a 6 string, electric acoustic guitar now....but

My current guitar has proven to be too large for me. I am only 5 feet tall and I have a hard time reaching around its body. (It's 38 ", a full sized behemoth to me) so i want to get something more fitting. Literally.

Any recommendations on guitars?

Thank you. ^_^

I have been playing music for a long time, and it is very sad to say that I have trouble counting beats. The only time I can count is if they're all simple notes such as quarter notes and 8th notes, and at a simple time, such as 2/4 or 3/4. I cannot even count 16th notes easily! I try and try, but my mind just cannot do it. I can tap my foot, or bob my head, but my mind just can't say, "1, 2, 3...". Also, I am an Honors Math student, so doesn't music have to do with math? I see many students that are worst at math, but are able to count with no problem whatsoever. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Or if there is a website or book on this, please tell me! Thanks! :]

there's a Les Paul I want that sounds awesome but it's used, I didn't buy it then and there because I knew I wasn't going to give a proper assessment , especially being so excited for it..

It's a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom, sounds fine and everything seems to be seated right.. anything I should look for ? or that i should ask the sales guy?
