Okay so my two friends and I are performing You Are the Music in Me from the movie High School Musical 2 at our chorus's upcoming concert. We need either the karaoke version or sheet music, and don't suggest limewire or iTunes because we looked there. PLEASE PLEASE we need one of these or we can't perform!!! This is my first big performance as a singer on stage in front of hundreds of people, and it could help to achieve my dream of becoming a singer. If you answer this it could change my life, and I promise in return all I can give... 10 points!

My problem is kinda different from most. I'm right handed, but my dad is left-handed so all of our guitars are, too. I'm wondering, is it a good idea at all to learn right-handed guitar with the strings upside down (thickest facing floor, thinnest facing up)?

I currently have a Fender J Bass that's tuned to B-E-A-D (one octave lower than it's supposed to be), and I was wondering how I could learn how to play without paying. Things I would accept would be online public domain references, etc. Any ideas? Thanks, your answers are always appreciated!

It's the spider II (or so it says) and is a great amp head, but it's kind of weird in some ways. First, it has it's default settings on drive, eq, chain volume, and effects, which is fine. But, I can only change it by moving the knob around when on that channel (causing it to be your setting, not the default), and then once I change channels, it reverts back to default. I mostly care because there's a tap delay preset on the clean channel and too much bass on the metal channel (bad for chicken scratching), which are both annoying for obvious reasons. Also, the paper cutout giving some info about the amp shows a slightly varied button layout. The one on my amp has the reverb under the control effects, but the paper cutout shows a separate knob for reverb AND an amp model selector separate from the channels. It says on the paper that the presets are programmable, but I dunno. Please advise

This question is for bona fide singers who play in clubs, dances, make their own records, etc. Do you ever go to Karoake nights just for fun and to hang out? Or is it irritating?

I'm 24 with not much skill & I'd like to become a music producer, rapper, & actress & probably singer. When was younger, I was shy & now I'd like to explore my creativity. That guy Taylor Hicks from American Idol was 30 & became #1 with no prior vocal training. But if I were to get training & schooling & work on my skill, do you think I can become famous in 5 yrs. if I work on singing, writing songs, & trying to make music beats & stuff? Or am I wasting my time? Many people say I'm too old, but I see people my age who get a modeling or acting gig or something. They think you have to be young, like 6 & 7 to be discovered & have a chance to become a star. I have some song ideas that I wish I can put to use. Is it possible? Many people say record companies would laugh in my face. I hope not. I wonder what other steps do I have to take to try to at least get my foot in the door. I know some artists get rejected 6 or 7 times before they succeed.

I have to write a short response to get in the Music Honors Society, please tell me what you think about my paragraph, and if you criticize something, please expand on it. All help is appreciated.

Music has been a big part of my life ever since I first started with my flute. It helps me to express myself and it defines who I am. I have been greatly inspired by music and it is the biggest thing that keeps me going in life. In the past, music has helped me contribute to my community by playing for the church, solo or in ensemble, and singing in the choir. Music is the only thing I want as a career, either to be a band director, or in the symphony. Nothing would be better than inspiring other people to be creative and live a life full of music. I would encourage people to be involved with music because it affects everything and everyone, and all music is performed uniquely. To get people involved with music, they must be able to see how it can affect one’s life, and how it can

I am a good guitar player, and am a sophomore in high school. I am wondering what kind of jobs, like pit orchestras for musicals and backing bands, things of that nature are available for guitar players in the jazz/rock realm. I'd eventually want to teach guitar privately, but if I went to music school I'd like to know whats out there for me. Advice from professional guitar players would be best, but others can comment as well. What kind of musical training did you go through? Would you recommend music school? thanks

I did one lesson in person, and joined this online guitar lesson site, I am just wondering if it is necessary or if you can just learn chords and scales and arpeggios and go from there yourself.
