Practice practice practice! Read them all 100 times, write them all 100 times, and sing them all 100 times. That should do it.

Yes, everyone is right in saying you have to go over those songs again and again and again...etc. One little thing I do that helps me is I sit down and write out the words on a separate paper... sometimes more than once. For some reason I retain the words alot better after physically copying the words down. Hope this helps!

If you can, take the music home and practice, practice, practice! (especially with other choir members). You'll be surprised by how much you retain, even though you may think you're unprepared. I'm in choir, too, so you have lots of sympathy. God bless.

To memorize the lyrics, speak them. (in rhythm, of course)
To memorize the notes, sing LA (or other syllable).

Separating the two elements is absolutely the most effectiv way to memorize it.....and with the most security.

Sing them all constantly. If your in the shower, in your room or walking down the street sing or hum the tune. Read the words while you sing them and if all possible listen to them. Good luck!

Sing them constantly.
Sing whenever you can!
Set the sheet music/lyrics where you can see them constantly.
When you have nothing to do, read and sing!
Do whatever you have to do.
Study the songs like you studied for school.
(Hopefully, you studied well!)
