Voice teachers set their on price for voice lessons.
What does expensive mean to you?
The cost will NOT be the same in every city in the USA.
You have to ask the teacher with whom you want to take voice lessons.
The cost in New York City is going to be more expensive than a teacher in Kentucky, Mississippi, South/North Carolina, Dallas, Houston, etc.
Do your research.

As others have said, it depends on the city in which you are taking them, and on the teacher. For most teachers with Master's degrees in music here in Minneapolis, you wouldn't pay more than $75 an hour, and usually it would be more like $40 to $50. For a beginner, most teachers only set half-hour lessons, so you'd pay about $25.
Call local music schools to find reputable teachers and ask about average costs in your area.

My brother and sister take voice lessons and it costs like $100or $200. I guess it depends on the teacher though. Look around and see who is willing teach for a cheap price. Good Luck.
