This is a good site for learning guitar chords....go here :
http://www.8notes.com/ (click on the picture of the guitar, on this site you'll see the words guitar chords....click on it and on left you'll see the name of a chord and on the right you'll see a guitar and it shows you how the chord is made, I love this site, it's very informative for guitar players, make sure that you scroll up and down and see everything that they have to offer, they also use to have a free electronic tuner on their homepage !!! ) If this site is no longer there, go here....google and type in the words....guitar chords charts, there are a few sites...that are pretty good.....good luck....they change a lot of sites all of the time, so I hope that there still there...good luck....I hope this helps !!!!!!!!!!!

Hold an F chord. Now move up one fret, and lift your middle finger. It is also called a G flat minor. Pick up a guitar chord dictionary. One chord can be played many different ways.

PJH's response is accurate, but an additional F#m chord is:
XX7675. In essence, an F#m is the same as A6.

Another F#m is found in the 9th fret as:
9 9 11 11 10 9

Other variations exist on the fretboard, and by using the notes of F#, A, and C# anywhere reachable on the fretboard you will have F#m.

These days you can learn how to play guitar over the internet. Check out Mark McKenzie's guitar video lessons here: http://www.jamoramaguitar.com The videos are very easy to follow and to my surprise extremely helpful even for advanced guitar players. For beginners I would have to say this is a gold mine.

I was able to improve my skills in just under 4 weeks and I am an intermediate-to-advanced guitar player; I've been playing guitar for the past 6 years and I was on stage with my band a lot of times.

I live in New York City, I wanted to go to a pro guitar teacher but that would have cost me over $1400 per month. Good thing with this internet, $1400 it's a lot of money for me. Good luck!

First you have to learn how to make a bar F chord, then you slide down 1 fret, and you have a bar F# chord, then you raise up the middle finger, and this is your bar F#m chord!

Half Barre: X,X,4,2 ,2,2. Full Barre: 2, 4, 4, 2, 2, 2. Just like an Em chord, but on the 2nd fret.
