I play tha piano

2007-10-12 07:59:07 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I started on the piano at age 4. Then picked up violin in 4th grade, about 8th grade my violin teacher remarks how large my hands are, perfect to viola, so I switch to that. Then I see how cool the bass looks, so I start that in 9th grade, but then Jazz band looks cool, so I get a bass guitar (pretty much the same as bass, just easier), and then I think the guitar is so cool, I learn that. Then comes senior year and they need a harmonica player. No one played to I went and bought a $60 chromatic and learned that for a concert opener. It's a long saga and eventually I came back to the piano, tho I still love the others.

I've played the violin for almost 8 years now, and I totally love it and want to pursue a career in music. Do you play an instrument?

I played the violen from 4th grade through to my senior year of highschool. I regret not picking it up much anymore. I love music, but I focused so much on my art goals music sorta took a back seat to some extent. I only played in two groups, Symphony and Symphonette by 10th grade and took all the art classes and participated in as many art clubs and groups i could instead. Now that I have graduated and have been in the design field for nearly two years now I have decided to take up lessons to get back into it again as soon as i have a little more income. I recommend anyone to try out their hand at music.

I play the piano, I've taken lessons for ten years and I have been playing since I was one and a half (just messing around to begin with)
I also sing and play the guitar

Acoustic guitar, fiddle, 5-string banjo, a bit of mandolin -- and voice.

Taught myself acoustic guitar starting at age 13, in my early 30's, I bought a mandolin on a spur of the moment impulse, took a few months worth of lessons on it. A year or after picking up the mandolin I bought a banjo and taught myself to play that (clawhammer style), then took up the fiddle and taught myself to play that. Somewhere along the way I came to the realization that I can sing, too!

I've sung all my life, learned to play the guitar in 1956 and the five-string banjo in 1962.

I don't play the banjo much, but the other two remain strong for me.

I was a percussionist in band 7th, 8th, 9th and half of 10th grade. And it is the biggest regret ever that I quit. I kick myself for it all the time because I love music and I could have done something with it. Like an all girl rock group!
Stupid me. :o(
