Does anyone know who wrote the song played twice (first by Lizzy, when asked by Mme de Bourgh, then by Georgiana) and where could I find the sheet? I'm so fond of it, it sounds gorgeous.

Anyone ever been to one of these shows or been hypnotized themselves? My girlfriend wants to go to this comedy club thing and get hypnotized. I think it might be cool, but I am a little worried about her. What will they make her do? Can it damage someone afterword, and just..well whats it all like. Any help would be appreciated. I've looked on the website and it seems cool, but..I just worry about her and don't want it to be something dangerous. Thanks. So..who has been hypnotized and whats it like...

I'm trying to start up a collection of violin recordings, e.g. Heifetz, Kremer, Stern, etc., and I was wondering what are your ALL-TIME picks for this category so that I can start buying these recommended records to start building.

Please include the violinist, the album title, the label, and if possible, please include a link for EACH album. I believe this will make it easier for all of us neophytes to get access to this music.

Any violin concertos, sonatas, divertimentos (with violin virtuoso playing) or any other piece of music that has heavy violin virtuoso playing involved should be included. Any MUST HAVE symphony pieces are welcome also.

Hi great people. I want to establish an audio/movie producing studio. Is there anyone out there who can recommend anybody who can be consulted on this? The idea is to establish a studio that will serve the purpose of full music production: from concept to mastering and also will be able to handle movie production from preproduction to post production. Thanks

Music teachers- Is anyone out there applying Gordon's MLT to their classes and performing groups? What has been your experience?

I find myself, as a jazzer and band director, drawn to it intuitively, but it is such a leap from the standard band methods that I need some help bridging the gap for me and my colleagues. I'd love some success stories and transition advice.

Based on my cursory knowledge, I would probably say La Scala, Covent Garden, and the Metropolitan Opera are the top three. Am I right?

Hi all,
My band has a chance to travel to Sweden for tour this coming spring. The trip has quite a price tag, though. Are there any ideas as to how we could fundraise. I know of grocery bagging, and happenings books, but we need lots more.

Thanks
Karl

What kind of motion should I make when playing? From the elbow, from the wrist? Should the pick remaing perpendicular to the strings at all times?

I can do a down stroke, but when I try to do an up stroke, as in strumming, my pick gets caught in the strings. How do I prevent this? Also, I know how the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is played, but how do you do the main riff part where you have to mute the strings without getting your pick caught?
