My goodness, wireless microphones have evolved over the last twenty years. The same with pressure zone mics used on the floor and in pianos, for example. The quality is very refined today.

The electronic analysis of the acoustics of the room and now being able to shape the sound using those tools have filled our halls wonderfully.

Playback devices are digital now and much easier to manipulate than magnetic tape .. splicing reel-to-reel tape is a thing of the past.

Reinforcement, playback and recording have all had positive impacts from technology.
