Im on a very tight budget and my current amp is broken.
I urgently need one right now. Someone is going to sell me either one of these two different amp (previously owned)..

Behringer 15watt Ultra Bass BT108 Amp
OR
Marshall 1watt MS-2R Micro Amp

Which one will sound better in term of volume & sound quality?
I play almost ballads, pop, classic rock, punk/rock & atlernative. No heavy metal though. And im using my ibanez GRG170DX.

I need suggestion on these two amps only please. Dont tell me to buy any other amp cuz these two are my only option =(

Best 1st answer will get 10points with 5stars ^^

I'm asking for an Ibanez JamPack IJV50 Quickstart Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Pack for Christmas. Is this decent for a beginner, or will the thing fall apart when I look at it? I don't need anything fancy, just decent.

I just started playing the guitar about a month ago and I'm having a little trouble in fretting above the 12th frets, where the body begins to attach to the guitar. This poses as problem when I'm playing songs like Holiday by Green Day or Yesterday by the Beatles, which have high tones.

Is there any special way to get around the guitar's body?

My son came home from school with his mouthpiece stuck in his trumpet. His teacher tried the mechanical puller (that little leverage device). We've also tried hot water to no avail. The mouthpiece is still stuck fast.

How the heck can we get it out?
Thanks!

There is a music store opening down the street, they have a special offer. the first 30 people who sign up for 6 months of lessons get a free guitar. my dad and i would like to take lessons together, it is something my dad has always wanted to do, the lessons are quite expensive and my parents are sending my sister to college. they said if i want to do the lessons i cannot get anything for my birthday (december 14th) and little for christmas....i dont know what i should do, i am a thirteen year old girl, the only instrument i play is the saxaphone...Should i do it?

Also~ i have to decide quickly, there are 5 guitars left.

Okay. I'm asking for an acoustic guitar for Christmas (or for my parents to rent one so i can try it out). I know how to read music very well, i took piano lessons for 5 years. BUT.... I've never played the guitar before.

I'm kind of trying to do this independently, without taking lessons. So does anyone have any pointers as to how to teach myself? Or any self-teaching books you can recommend? All help is appreciated!

Thanks for your input!

In the music biz, it's like the labels are looking for people who suck. 'Suck' is the new standard. For every Stevie Wonder you've got 10,000 tone-deaf models.

Same thing with film acting. For every Meryl Streep, you've got 10,000 sorry excuses for thespians.

What's going on? Is corporate America TRYING to destroy the arts, or is it somehow more profitable to do business with no-talent hacks?

I would like to purchase an electric piano. I've played piano since I was in first grade and would love to buy a real piano...but it wouldn't work too well in my apartment. I want an electric piano that really sounds and feels like a real piano when I play it. Any suggestions for good brands/models of electric pianos?

2007-11-15 17:40:21 · 3 answers · asked by Katie R 1

I think I could learn to play the piano by myself, but I still need a website that teaches you what notes are what with pictures and what different notes mean. The basics, basically, so that I can begin by myself.
