maximum in all probability your back hurts considering the fact which you're seated improperly. Having an adjustable artist bench enables you to go up and right down to a cushty place ... and the padding is advantageous too. Non-adjustable piano seats that deliver with the piano are designed with 2 or 3 aims in ideas: greater healthful the common length consumer quite properly, keep the production fee down, and make it look like it is going with the device. the final seats will tilt your pelvis forward, the different of your hassle-free chair, in direction of the keyboard which motives you to take a seat upright. It takes a whilst to get used to the style of seat because of fact it seems such as you will get dumped onto the floor the 1st few situations you employ one. verify the hyperlinks decrease than. the 1st one has a robust rationalization of the priority. each and every of those benches is costly, yet your long-term wellbeing and satisfaction in the device are very well worth the fee.

I hear you.... Especially when you are practicing for hours at a time. If you can't afford to get a nice padded 'artist bench,' you can easily make a cushion. I went to Michaels or Joanne fabrics and got a block of foam cut to the measurements of my bench, then I covered it in fabric. It helps!

Maybe you just have an uncomfortable seat, I've sat on one in the shop and it was nice.

Because you are supposed to be sitting upright with good posture balanced on your toes and sitting on the edge of the seat to do the pedals and not relaxing and sitting flat on your butt.

I think they are designed that way to force you to sit up straight. It doesn't always work, but it's ergonomically designed for correct posture while playing. If you're playing while seated improperly your perfomance suffers.
