damn public school education. In all fairness I've seen it both ways. Which is right?

Bass Guitar.

Bass from the meaning "low in pitch".
(eg. Deep/Low sounding strings)

I don't believe it's the public school education system that is at fault, but those having no concept of correct spelling--either through ignorance or apathy to the written word.
