I'm asking for an Ibanez JamPack IJV50 Quickstart Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Pack for Christmas. Is this decent for a beginner, or will the thing fall apart when I look at it? I don't need anything fancy, just decent.

Ibanez is a very good brand. You will be very lucky to have it!

Epiphone has the posh of making use of Gibson designs as there owned by means of Gibson, Where as Ibanez was once sued by means of Gibson again within the 70s for copying there designs, so there may be a few historical past there. and most likely Ibanez did not simply roll over and die, there nonetheless a main guitar manufacture, as with every guitar you get what you pay for, which one is larger? that is only a topic of opinion. each are made in Asia if that tells you something.

haha

ok heres how it goes.

NEVER GET AN IBANEZ ACOUSTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ibanez makes terible acoustics and yes they will fall apart.

ibanez makes fantastic electrics but not acoustics. never get that.

if you want acoustic get a martin. even the beginer ones are great. they cost a bit. generally 300 - 400 dollars. but if you decide you want to keep it up and are up for the time and effort, i promise you that you will be happy. if yoru not i will personally give you all the money back plus some for the guitar.

hehe good luck and have fun

ibanez are good guitars but.... you can get a fender stratacaster or telecaster and a fender amplifier and make it sound like and acoustic. of course it will be more expensive but it can make like 15 different sounds PLUS the acoustic sound.
