i want to make my college's dance team more than anything, but i only have two years of ballet and four years of kickline/pom experience. i have to be able to do a scissor leap, a triple turn, c jump and axle. Right now i can just about do a double turn. I only have two more years to try to make the team before i graduate. Does anyone have some suggestions as to what i can do to gain more experience quickly besides taking more dance classes??

DO you wan to live every day of you life as the last? With no consequences and no rules...with the wind in your hair and risk in your heart? Do you want to fall in love on Friday and lose your heart on Saturday?

Or do you want to be careful. Live long. Safe. Healthy.

Why?

I was very well trained in ballet for 12 years. I was about to go on pointe when I quit to make time for other sports. Recently I've been really missing ballet and wanting to go on pointe! I have been practicing a lot of the stuff we used to learn in training, and I am still strong enough to do it all. I think i'm ready to buy pointe shoes...

Just wondering: has any dancer ever gone on pointe barefoot without any support? Is it even physically possible?

Yes of course I know it is dangerous and risky and wouldn't recommend it. I just want to know if it's possible.

This spring I made our schools Pom/Dance/Kickline team. Its a new team, and were supposed to be practicing two times a week this summer. I'm missing out because I'm at my dads house in another state, does anyone know any excercises i can do to get in shape for the season and increase my flexibility?

I am 19 years old and I love to dance. I never really took dance classes as a child aside from one at a school when I was 13 for a few months. I do, however, absolutely love to go out and dance, particularly when the dance is choreographed. I am really interested in finding dance classes in my area for my age group and really interested in performing. Usually, these classes are targeted to young teens and I would prefer to take classes with adults. I am located in the Charlotte Metro Area in North Carolina. Anyone familiar with the area who has any suggestions? I work 40 hours a week so I'm looking for night classes.
