Dance as if no one is watching.
I have always be very self conscious about my dancing. My parents supported the fact that I am/was clumsy.
This weekend someone said to me that they knew I wasn't worried about dancing in front of others. It was a very nice compliment.
Unless you are trying to get paid to dance don't worry about what others say. Even then, someone will like your dancing and others won't-you just keep dancing.

Dancing is a passion that in our hearts, no one can take that away from you. However, just because it's in our hearts, doesn't mean we are good at it. Join a dance group, have fun with it, but if half the people say you are good and the other half say you are not, you have to wonder who's telling the truth. Be honest with yourself. Do you watch so you think you can dance? Have you seen the talent there the good and the bad? Where do you fall in? Would you audition?

No one has really said that I can't dance, but if there is a good tune, I'll definitely dance regardless of who's around. I love dancing, it makes me feel so good. Don't care about what others say or think. You're unique in your own special way!

I enjoy dancing. t give me a way of expressing how I am feeling. People sometimes tell tell that what I consider dancing in not dance, but I do not care. You never know one day the way you dance might become the newest craze out there like krumping did.

I do! Since I am single and middle aged, friends and family think going out to dance is not a 'safe' idea (meaning conservative, moral, socially accepted, blah blah). I don't care. I love to dance. I go out dancing with a dance instructor (no romance involved). And I totally enjoy it! To hell with what others say.

I don't think it matters if people think you dance well or not, just as long as you are having a good time. and yes, when people tell me I can't dance I just dance some more, as wildly and close to them as possible so they get the attention. Hee hee

Hell yes! I have had people on the dance floor shake their heads violently and yell "NO!" Who cares? I mean seriously, you're dancing for you, not for other people.
Now get out there and bust some moves :)
