Ok I have danced for 2 years on Ballet and Hip hope and I was thinking about taking Tap. I have never done tap before and i dont want to do it and look like a conplete idiot because i dont know what i am doing. Do you think I will be able to pick up on it ok. Since I am 15, they are placing me in an adv. tap class but most of the girls in there have only had 1 year of experience.

I am 13 years old. I have been studying modern. jazz and hip hop for 8 years in New York. I have recently moved to Florida and I have just started Ballet and Lyrical. They have told me that I am really good and I am in Level 4 out of 5 in all of my classes. Once I reach Level five, which is a few double pirouttes and susu's later. I will qualify for the competition team. Then maybe, just maybe, if I try really hard I can be in Pointe. There are 12 year olds in my dance school that take Pointe and sometimes I feel really out of place. I also go to a middle school of the arts and I'm on there dance program as well. I'm on their performance team and have been invited o their out-of school recitals. They say I look like I have been dancing for years, and I recieve straight A's, but I don't cease to be concerned. Should I? I want to be involved in dance in my future and with high school and everything coming up soon, I'm not beginning to worry, I'M BEGINNING TO PANIC!!! Any suggestions?

I am looking for any suggestions for NEW music that would be good to use for a pom squad routine. Preferably hip hop music with a fast beat or something that is really popular, but any suggestions you have are welcome.

I want to dance, most likely hip hop, but I've never danced before and I am 14. Should I start classes this year, even though they've already started or should I wait until next year and have time to learn the basics? What are the basics? Can you names any websites that help me learn the basics of any dance style?

What do you say to someone who is jealous of you because you are moving on to bigger and better things and joining a dance school? Isn't that person trying to hold me back? Tell me your opinions/advice. Note: I dropped all ties with this "friend"; he turned out to be an annoying a**hole.
