You can learn to dance well enough so that you can make it through the song in about 2 weeks. This is what you should expect out of a class. You can spens another year to become good at it.

If you take a class, you learn all of the basic elements in salsa in the 1st month. That would be Level 1. Level 2 classes can be taken for several months, and it is encouraged, where you learn new dance steps every week. It takes 4 months in all of the process, and you will find you are greatly rewarded. You can't just pick this up and learn it in a few weeks. Its something that is a step by step process. Its not just about learning the steps and techniques, its about learning how to lead and move with the dance. I am sorry. I do not know of any in Mumbai. Check online. Hope I helped.

Depends on how good of a dancer you are.
