When I've judged, it's been on the following:

1) Knowledge of technique:
Isolations, expansion/contraction, release, syncopation

2) Across the floor:
This is usually jumps and leaps. Judged on height, distance, accuracy and execution.

3) Center Floor:
This is usually turns, and sometimes a short combination.

4) Combination/Routine:
You'll usually be judged on your knowledge of the combination, your timing (are you on beat, do you know the steps), your 'presence' or showmanship (remember to look up!) and your execution (how well you do the steps)

You'll also be judged on posture, and little things, like pointing your toes unless they are supposed to be flexed, on spotting when you turn, and the confidence with which you dance.
