Even if it is not the one you're talking about - the key is to learn the "separation" - you move some parts of the body while keeping the other parts very steady. Another important thing to observe - look where is the movement originated in the body and how it propagates. Does it start somewhere in the torso and then propagate to the arm and to the hand? Maybe, the other way around? While this movement propagates, the rest of the body is steady. Or, if you're really really good, you can manage some other propagation with other parts. This is what creates the cool effects. Just watch carefully what moves and what had already stopped moving at every instant. On top of that, the guy is in the second movie is incredibly flexible. Work on flexibility to achieve that.
