Yes or no and why

I'm a pretty good dancer - good rhythm, good footwork, I lead really well and I'm always in sync with my partner. But I've always had a problem of stiff hips. It's not that I'm a shy dancer or anything, I just can't make my hips move like other dancers I see. Any suggestions to loosen 'em up?

I've been in dance three years now, i started when i was 14, but i think my teacher is rushing my training, because i've never heard of any of the other students complaining of the problem that i have. The first two years i was enrolled in almost all the classes my school offered because i was on the team. Now i am only in ballet and am being trained in pointe shoes, i have been for the last year and a half. I have a lot of pain in the joints in my hips after we do work at the barre especially focusing on turnout. The next day it hurts to walk, sit down, or do anything, even though i stretch before hand. Sometimes the pain may last for two weeks, leave and then return.

Does anyone know of any excercises that may help the pain in my joints or have any other advice that doesn't involve me quitting dance?

So, I don't have a date to homecoming but I still want to go. My friends are all either going on dates or they don't want to go at all, and I really want to go even though I don't have a date, but I didn't want to go alone, btw I'm a Jr., so I invited my is who is 3yrs younger than me to go with, but my friends don't really like her, and what if someone finds out she is my sis and so young, given she doesn’t look any younger than I do. But is this really pathetic to have her come with me. Some of my friends are defiantly going to recognize that she is my sis and I am going to be so embarrassed

So what should I do? Should I just not go? Should I just go alone? I just don't know what to do

hey...is there an easy way that i can start to teach my husband how to dance salsa? i can dance pretty good but he just looks HORRIBLE!!! he doesnt wanna look stupid when he goes out and i dont either so i dont dance with him....but i feel bad cuz sometimes theres no one for me to dance with so we just sit there...quite boring...anyways...neone can help??? I am 20 years old college student study and live in New York City. I have done some acting in high school. I can sing and dance, both which I am still learning. I love to listen to Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Dean Martin. I also love Broadway and MGM musicals. My style of singing is jazz, rock & roll, and crooning.

My major in college is business administration (particularly in the concentration of international trade, marketing, and finance). I can sing and I can sing good, but I don't have any background in music, whether playing music or reading notes. Now I want to start off as a singer/dancer or actor on Broadway, then may be later on to the movie industry. What college courses should I study? Where should I start, would you say Broadway or some small theater? Who should I contact or look for to have myself and my talent to be discover? How should I market myself?

I started a brand new school and a few of the girls want to start a dance team.... they want me to be over it??? I want to do it but I dont know what TO DO... Im lost.... Hi Um......... I just moved schools and they have a praise dance team(I go to christian school) and im interseted in starting a dance team... so im just curious what everyone wears to ballet? knit shorts, regular shorts, leotards (what kind) leggings, skirts, (what designs) color of tights etc... tell me a cute ballet outfit that is approperiate for class too!

also do you wear your tights under your leotard or over it?
