If you are not doing it correctly, yes. It is natural for it to go numb after such a long period of time to be in a abnormal placement of your body. Take some rests or switch up the legs or something. Anything will go numb most likely in a position like that. It happened to me and I wasn't even holding it for 30 minutes it was more like 15. Hope I helped.

It al depends on your body.Sometimes my leg goes numb after holding my split for 30 seconds.I know people who can hold their split for longer than a half hour and they didn't mention anything about numbness. Jus know that it is normal and u jus have to stretch more.

Hello

Interestingly enough, BABY just asked the same question. Are you the same person?

Yes, if your split is still not your comfortable resing position, it can go numb, I'm sure of that.

I suppose, but who cares, it will come back. I live with a numb leg 24/7 since I injured my back and had to have back injury.

I'm sure it could...it is an unnatural body position which will most likely constrict blood flow and/or compress the sciatic nerve. I wouldn't reccomend it at all...there is a chance you could cause permanent damage. Just give yourself some breaks to let everything circulate properly.
