i'm planning to try out for cheerleading next year and wanted to know how i should get ready. what types of flips should i try to learn? i'm a dancer and work on my splits and kicks all the time but not sure what else to practice! thanks for everyone's help! :)

Most of us don't wear socks when dancing in latin dance shoes. I bought my first pair of leather ones and boy do my feet and the shoes smell bad afterward. It doesn't have that effect when I wear any of my other dance or street shoes. My friend mentioned something about leather shoes before so it sounds like a common problem with leather dance shoes in particular. What have you tried? Odor-eaters, powders or does anything else seem to help? (No wise cracks needed, thank you.) Any good advice is welcomed and appreciated.

I used to take ballet class and I quit a few years ago, Now I'm rejoining at the same studio and I'm kinda nervous. My first class is on tuesday! Today I enrolled in a ballet studio. Im excited but i dont really know what to expect. Is there any sort of protocal the classes follow, like clapping at the end of a class, or how to address your teacher. Are there also any rules you have to follow, like what is acceptable, like wearing makeup. I know all schools and classes are differnt but Im sure there are rules that all classes follow. Im sure I will feel more comfortable knowing what is going to happen, since Im the new girl. I think I worded this question poorly, but I think I got my point across.
