since you already have a computer, and it seems you likely already have a beta vcr, why don't you consider getting a video tuner card and capture software for your computer, and doing it yourself?

You could hook the VCR up to the computer and play the tape into the tuner card, while watching the video on the computer's screen. With software, you'd record the video onto your hard disk drive and you can compress it into Motion Picture Extra's Group (MPEG) Standard II (MPEG-2) format, which is what DVDs are based on, then burn your own DVD.

If you decide to do this, please ask further questions in another category that is more approprate than "dancing," This is my home away from those tech matters, and my refuge from them.

I have converted many tapes from VHS to DVD, I've just never owned Betamax equipment.

my friend had to do it the long way by converting his beta videos onto normal vhs videos then onto dvd. i think he paid around 50 pounds for the kit to do it all.
