I think that they simply reflect the time in history, and that the books, paticuarly Huck Finn, is actually non-racist because it shows how the poor young white breaks away from his prejudices and views Jim as a human being with feelings instead of property.

I am 15 yrs old and I think I have this big idea for a novel that I want to write. Thing is, I want to skip to the parts I want to write about and I can't seem to be satisfied of what I have already written. Also, every year I advance in english(grammar, symbolysim etc.) and my story seems to change into bigger and better things. I want to finish my novel in my youth but, I don't want to miss out on what it could be in a couple of yrs. Any tips from other authors out there?

WL Writers Literary Agency
I contacted this company via the web on a book I wrote, they are wanting me to send the material to them to see if it's worthy for them to try and get it published.
Does anyone know anything about this company?

I think it was Marlow. Othres say Bacon or The Earl of Oxford. A new panel of scholars are digging into it in a major way, again.

Acclaimed actor Derek Jacobi and Mark Rylance, the former artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London, unveiled a "Declaration of Reasonable Doubt" on the authorship of Shakespeare's work Saturday, following the final matinee of "I am Shakespeare," a play investigating the bard's identity, in Chichester, southern England.

In the Yahoo news today, which you must have seen.

Someone told me their opinion on the best short story that they've ever read. I'm curious to see if someone agrees with them.

I won't tell the story until either someone says it or until the question is out.

BTW, I'm considering short stories to be under one hundred pages.

I have to construct a short story for school and I know it's a stupid question considering how many novels I've read, but does a climax have to be good?

My mom says it should be shocking or good.

What if it's something that's bad, like bad news. Does that not make it a climax??

In your opinion, what should a climax ultimately be?

Good? Bad? Shocking? Sad?

It consumed him.
It coursed through his veins like a drug, forcing him onwards.
A force intangible yet unrelenting.
Through the trees and bushes he ran, thorns and briars ripping at his skin.
The cool night air whipped through him, but couldn’t cool the burning pain.
This was not the pain of the flesh wounds, they were insignificant, this was immense; the fire inside him, driving him insane, keeping him in a state of perpetual agony. To him this torture would never end, but would have to be released somehow.
At this point only he mattered. There was only him and the pain. Any soul in his way would face naught but paroxysms of rage.
He clumsily sprinted on, not yet knowing where each foot should land, or when.
A hunger was growing inside him which couldn’t be ignored.
It started to rain but he kept running, the droplets steaming off his burning back, he didn’t know where or why, but he kept running.

I'm fifteen years old, and I want to publish a poetry book, from poems I have written throughout my life. I am passionate about all my poetry and I feel I should wait until I have 100 poems to look to get it published. Does that sound like too many? My poems rage in size from five lines (very few are that short) to three pages (only one is three pages). What's a good amount of poems to have until I look to get it published?
