Well, i am thirteen years old, and i love to read GIRLY books. I am not into magical books or like fantasy books unless its the twilight series and the harry potter series. and i CANT STAND old books...like books that were published from the 1930 to the 1980s. i like NEW books that are very girly! Please help me and no rude answers please!
Peace.

Most of these are high fantasy, some of them are urban fantasy: Abarat + Days of Magic, Nights of War; Clive Barker Terrier + Bloodhound; Tamora Pierce Trickster's Choice + Trickster's Queen; Tamora Pierce Graceling; Kristin Cashore The Hunger Games; Suzanne Collins Ironside + Valiant; Holly Black My favorite Series: The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher, first book is Furies of Calderon. This series is set in Alera which is involved in civil wars plus wars with its neighboring countries. The chapters alternate between characters, so you get some spies, warriors, politicians. Some romance, lots of action, all great. Also really good by the same guy: The Dresden Files. This series centers around Harry Dresden who solves supernatural murders. Great series for those who like urban fantasy type books. Try any of these, they're all great. :)

I would recommend the Private series. I have read the series and it is AMAZING --
if you like suspense, thriller, popularity, and girly books all in one, then Private is for you..( just to give u a heads up, there is a murder in these books, but STILL REALLY REALLY GIRLY)
If you want a girly book, that is light but still deals with peer-pressure and all, then try the Clique series..
I have read both, and i know that they are both rated 5 star series....
Hope i helped=]
P.S --> dont wry, these books are not old=]

The series by James Herriot, "All Creatures Great and Small", "All Things Wise and Wonderful", "All Things Bright and Beautiful", and "The Lord God Made Them All". Fabulous series, no matter what you're age-I've read them at least once a year since I was about 10, or so. About an English vet, set in the 1940's (true stories, by the way). I think you'd really enjoy them!

I think you'd like anything by Jacqueline Wilson. She is the leading British author for girls aged eight to fourteen and writes modern, girly books that don't dumb down.
Check out her books at http://www.randomhouse.co.uk/childrens/jacquelinewilson/home.htm
