He is a wizard. Some people told me I would better make the name normal instead of making it weird and all. Do you like it?

I like mostly fantasy, supernatural, and romance books, and I only read YA (Young Adult). My favorite books are Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot, and the Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. Would I like Maximum Ride?

I need a really good book to read. I'm 17 and have read many books about teens and drama (drugs, sex, pretty much everything) some of my favorites are The Perks of Being a Wallflower and all books written by Augusten Burroughs, James Frey etc. I like really extreme stuff.

I read constantly in 9th and 10th grade but didn't pick up a book in 11th grade at all. I'm a new senior in high school and I really want to get into the habit again. Suggestions? I want a book I don't want to put down.

To quote one of my favorite authors, Stephen King, "I'm talking about the one that got under you like a magic carpet and lifted you right off the ground".

Is it any good? And how is it put together? Is it a story, or a documentary of sorts? I heard about it, and went to Barnes & Noble to buy it, but I read a bit of it, and it just looked like an interveiw.

Thanks in advance.

Hey All My “Yahooligan” Friends *^_^*

I have a problem and I’m hoping for some wonderful feedback from you all. Not only will this help me but, others also in my position.
First off, I’d like to say “Thank You” all for your support in “criticizing” as well as “commenting” on my works. I truly have never even considered doing a book until after I jumped on Y.A. and had the pleasure of meeting you all. You are a true inspiration to me and again, I thank you.
Secondly, I am truly amazed at the wonderful comments posted in “poetry’ form. There are so many of you that deserve much praise also and should consider getting a book out *^_^* I will try much harder in returning more of the favors in commenting, promise :~)`

Ok, here’s the thing. I have come across a wonderful site called “Barros Monteiro Editorial Publishers
“ They publish Poetry, Prose and Short Stories. I’m seriously considering jumping on in but, I feel that I have so many different “subject matters”

I have pondered this..Why do people feel the need to express their themselves into the printed word? What is it? Ego? The joy of expression that they can see and advertise? Or why do anything that has been done before? Everything has been done before...Is it money or notorietry? What is it that makes writers..Write? Convoluted passages of reality that makes the public pause for ...More of THIS that makes a story...What is the story? What do you want ? I'm trying to say .."Why Write?" If it is an expression of yourself .."Why?'.. Everything has been said...Whay can I say? Can You add any Truth or Song that will enrich anybody's Lives ? A Hard Graft..

I believe I have a great idea for a book, but I'm having great difficulty in getting it down on paper. I am sure there must be some kind of formula or set procedure, the begining, middle & end thing. Can anyone give me a few tips or hints. I'll give you a mention should It get published. Thanks.

I've never read the Last of the Mohicans (nor any of the Leatherstocking tales) and was wondering if I should read The Deerslayer or The Pathfinder before I throw myself into Last of the Mohicans?

I know that Cooper wrote LotM before the Deerslayer/Pathfinder in real life, but both of the other stories come before LotM in the Leatherstocking tales, and I was just curious as to whether reading Deerslayer/Pathfinder first would make Last of the Mohicans any more enjoyable?

Can anyone help me out?
