which should i write? an essay or a short story. If it's an essay, what would be a good topic? and if it's a short story, what would be a good story to write about? i'm really having a hard time writing stuffs about anything under the sun. I just can't make up my mind. anyone help? tips please... thank you!

I always found essays a little too boring to write & a little too direct to read so Ill go with short stories. The story stands on the plot but that seems to be the only part where you're having trouble. Try having your main character getting lost somewhere; the plot gets really good that way. Try writing it in first person; flowing through the character's thought will be easier that way, as is with the rest of the story. Hope this helps!

I'd say that depends on whether you're looking to write fiction or non-fiction. As to what it should be about, for an essay you might consider writing about the experience of purchasing books in a bookstore where you have to deal with people face to face versus ordering online. For a short story, maybe a day in the life of type of thing.

u should write a short story on your favourite topic....maybe like about adventure or a dark depressing story or a scary story...
