I loved Pet Semetary, it was my favorite movie when I was like 4 and when I got old enough I read the book and loved it.
I loved It too but Pet Semetary was my favorite.
As for my opinion on the best.:
Dreamcatcher - it has to do with aliens but has awesome characters in it, I am not usually into alien stuff but I loved this one.
Desperation - a great but gory book. - probably my favorite so far. It's about a creepy desert town.
Salem's Lot - an awesome vampire book.
Everything's Eventual - (A Short Story Collection) I read every short story in this in one night, it includes Riding the Bullet and 1408 a new movie based on this story was just released.
Night Shift which is another collection of short stories.
The Dark Tower Series is just awesome and ties in with a lot of his other books in some awesome ways.
The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger
The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard & Glass
The Dark Tower V: Wolves of The Calla
The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah
The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower
The Stand is a long but awesome book.
Those are just some to get you started I love all of his stories that I have read so far and I couldn't pick a worst.

The complete Dark Tower Series is by far King's finest work. I can really pick a worst book, because I've enjoyed everything I've read by him. Some of my favorites I highly recommend reading: The Shining, The Dead Zone, Eyes of the Dragon, Misery, Dolores Claiborne, The Green Mile, Desperation, Hearts in Atlantis and Lisey's Story.

The Stand, especially the author's cut version is wonderful. The Shining would be my next favorite. Misery is also good. Have not read many after Misery, so those would be what I consider the worst.
His son is also a writer. His book is Heart Shaped Box. He writes under the name Joe Hill. Excellent book!

I'd have to say the best i've read is the Green Mile, you feel for the characters in a way i've never felt while reading a book.
I despised Gerald's Game, it goes no where.

The Shining and The Stand were my favorite. Although really sad, Carrie was good. I couldn't finish The Tommyknockers though, it was just very boring.

I loved The Shining, and The Stand (the LOOOOOONG version). The Dead Zone was good. Christine was downright silly.

Stephen King, eh? So you like horror books, you should read Thomas Harris, he wrote Hannibal, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Rising, ect. Tess Gerritsen is good too, she wrote The Mephisto Club, and if you want something besides horror, Dan Brown is cool, too.
