Would you choose your own name so ppl would know its you or a pen name? Why?

I would choose to use my real name. Its my work and I would be 100% proud of it.

Never actually gave it a thought. On the one hand I'd want to put my name on my own work just to say it's mine. But on the otherhand, people do say folks that win the lottery suddenly have friends and family they never knew they had. I'd imagine the same thing goes for for any kind of fame. So I might be tempted to publish a book under a pen name to avoid that (I publish fanfics under a pen name, but that's different since the been name is my account name).

A pen name since I am only 12 & when I get a book published I would not want them to know that the author is 12. But in due time I would want to put my own name & receive all the credit.

I would choose a pen name because I enjoy having a private, anonymous life and If I became famous (I doubt I would) I would want to continue living my private life and not be in the public eye.

I am a very private person, so I would probably choose another name. I think it depends on your personality and the kind of books you write also.

Pen Name...whose going to buy a authour name praveena and with a last name...which has like 20 letters...really? lol..i don't think soo..

Many do both - because they write in different genres. Only some like JD Robb and Stephen King tell. Many others keep it secret. Pax - C

No I would use my First name And middle name, instead.

my own name.. that way people would know me and my life history... and my life history .. between my family and my husband family would make one helluv a movie.. maybe on jerry springer too...lol
