I AM 13, but that's not stopping me from writing this, because I have no intention to even attempt publishing it nor showing/telling anyone about it. I'm doing it for me, so I don't need anyone telling me that I'm too young. I have an idea, and I know it's not very good, but I won't go into much detail. The idea's been growing for years and I can't let it go!

What I'm stuck on is the following... My main character is going to die near the beggining, but I don't know how. He's very courageous so I'm thinking that should be how he dies. However, while he is dying I want his friend, Emily, to walk in and see him. So where and how could that happen?

After this happens, this is where my idea of the afterlife comes into play...

It's very important that his death makes a statement about his personality, because he has always been withdrawn and I want his courage to somewhat shine through in the end.

I'd do this myself...but I'm stuck!

THANK YOU!!! :)

Well i have a summer reading project, and i obviously read harry potter seven like the day it came out so i chose it for my project. The project is on the character or Ron Weasley and we need some quotes from the character. So, i was wondering if anyone knew the best scenes or chapters when ron had a lot of interesting dialouge.

I am 13, going into the 8th grade. I read James Patterson, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Jodi Picoult.

As for YA fiction, I like Twilight, Harry Potter, the Pendragon series, The Guardians of Time Trilogy, A Great And Terrible Beauty. I really don't like fantasy with elves or trolls. And I don't like the Chronicles of Narnia. I like fantasy that is based in reality. Science fiction is also good. And if there's humor there, that helps too.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Its summer and I cannot get to a bookstore. Is there anything good online to read? I'll even settle for good fanfiction, but only if its Harry Potter.

Story is about the adventures of a little Chinese girl who is adopted by Finnish parents and brought to Finland. It's an excellent book in terms of its illustrations. I just can't remember the Finnish titles nor the illustrator/author. Help me remember if you can!

If you were to take up JK's mantle and carry on with Harry Potter where would you take the story? Would you start it from him being 17 still or would you continue from where she left off at 19 years later?

In Julius Caesar Shakespeare uses Caesar as a parellel to Queen Elizabeth.....they were both powerful rulers without heirs and what would happen if Elizabeth would die etc.......

Do any of Shakespeare's other plays have symbolism similar to this

I've been playing with the idea of a list of all the books that I read. There's no way to know all of the ones that I've read, but from here out. What do you think?

I know that some authors have written their way out of deep depressions. I've been having a hard time writing lately. Does anyone have any advice on how to turn depression/pain into fictional writing? I'd just like some tips, if you've got any. Thanks!

I am trying to improve my web site, http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com .
I would like to create a list of the best sorcery fantasy books in which a woman (or girl) is the main character, or at minimum a woman is equally important to any man in the story.

Please make certain that you choose only sorcery fantasy books.

Warning: I will be asking this question several times in the next few days, at different times of the day in order to get the most input.

Thanks!
